Zachary Cramer- French Horn
Local musician Zachary Cramer who has been studying French Horn in Sweden this past year, will join talent with violinist David Brock and pianist Obadiah Ariss in playing the Brahms Horn Trio. The concert will also include soprano Christie Hageman, singing Schubert's Auf dem Strom (soprano, horn and piano) and piano solos by Dr. Ariss. A reception with the artists follows the concert where you may enjoy a display of art provided by the Palette Gallery of Nederland.



 Oadiah Ariss - Piano
Canadian born Dr. Ariss has performed at venues across North America, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall, the Elora Festival in Ontario, Canada, and three engagements at the Colorado Music Festival's Eckstrand Competition Performance Series. In 2003, Ariss received three scholarships from the University of Colorado, including the award for Best Graduate Solo Piano Performance in recognition of his performance of Beethoven's Concerto No. 5 with the University of Colorado Orchestra. Additionally, Ariss was presented with the Audience Choice award at the 2006 Bruce Eckstrand Graduate Competition Finals. In 2006 Ariss received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado. Previous mentors include Doris Lehnert of the University of Colorado, Angela Cheng of the Oberlin Conservatory and James Anagnoson of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Ariss is Director of Institutional Giving for the Colorado Symphony Association.

David Block
- Violin
David Block is Assistant Concertmaster of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra. Receiving his Bachelor's degree in violin performance from Florida State University and his Master's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, David has performed in many chamber and orchestral groups during his 27 years of performance experience including several area orchestras, including the Colorado Chamber Orchestra. David has also played in the Breckenridge Music Festival, The Estes Park Rocky Ridge Arts Camp and the Festival dei Due Mondi in Italy. In his "spare time", he plans to climb 30 mountains...already having conquered 6 this past May! Block, located in the Denver area, has taught violin for 15 years and currently accepts violin students from age 6 and up who wish to learn in the traditional style. Christie Hageman - Soprano

Christie Hageman graduated this spring with her Masters of Music degree from CU Boulder. She is a student of Julie Simson.  Originally from Billings, Montana, Christie graduated with a BM in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University, California studying with Erie Mills.  While taking a year off, Christie fulfilled her duties as Miss Montana 2006 traveling her home state and speaking to students with the platform “Music Makes the Difference.” 

Her roles at CU include the Vixen in The Cunning Little Vixen, Musetta in La Bohème, Paquette in Candide, Flora in La Traviata, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Emily in Ned Rorem's Our Town. She has performed with the CU Symphonic Orchestra as a winner of the concerto competition and placed first in the CU School of Music Ekstrand graduate performance competition. Christie has also sung with the Billings Rimrock Opera Company, Billings Symphony Orchestra, Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy, Songfest Young Artist Program in Washington, and on the Miss America stage in Las Vegas. Recently, Christie placed first in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild annual competition and in September will join Opera Colorado as a Young Artist singing in their outreach productions and in their main stage production of La Cenerentola as Clorina in spring 2011
