Marie Channer ~ Oil on Canvas Artist

June 2008 Featured Artist

“Our talents are a gift from God”

Marie Channer says of her oils, “My passion is people. Art to me is an expression of ‘being’, an opportunity and a challenge to seek and perhaps share an essence of life. It is an exchange that flows from my mind onto the canvas. It helps me share in celebrating the personality and character of another being.”

Channer is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists (www.asopa.com). In both 2002 and 2003 she participated in the Boulder National Art Show and took first place in the members show in both years. In 2002, her painting 'Laura' was honored with ‘The People's Choice Award’ in the Louisville National Art Show and the same year her work was juried into the Englewood National Show.
